AI & LLM Visibility

AI and LLM visibility: how assistants find and cite you

Buyers increasingly research suppliers by asking an AI assistant instead of opening a search results page. That shift creates a new distribution question: which sources the assistant is able to read, and which of those it will actually quote.

The mechanics are more specific than most advice suggests. Crawlers used to train models — GPTBot, CCBot, Google-Extended — are separate from the crawlers used to retrieve live sources while composing an answer, such as OAI-SearchBot, PerplexityBot and ChatGPT-User. Blocking the first group does not remove you from AI answers; blocking the second does. A single wildcard rule in robots.txt can quietly delete a site from AI results while looking like a sensible privacy measure.

The guides below cover that distinction, what actually makes a page quotable, why clear factual statements and structured data matter more than keyword density, and where Chinese-language sources fit into an English-language discovery path.
