Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains when an order for CN NEWSWIRE press release distribution services can be cancelled, and when a refund is available. It forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms & Conditions.

1. Scope

CN NEWSWIRE provides press release writing, optimisation and distribution services. Because distribution results in permanent, published media placements that cannot be recalled or unpublished, the cancellation terms below depend on how far your order has progressed.

2. Cancelling Before Work Begins — full refund

You may cancel for a full refund at any time before we begin editorial work on your release. Any cancellation requested within 24 hours of placing an order is refunded in full, whatever stage the order has reached.

3. Cancelling After Editorial Work Has Begun — partial refund

Once our editorial team has started drafting, translating or optimising your release, the editorial fee is no longer refundable. Where distribution has not yet been submitted, the distribution portion of your order is refunded in full.

4. After Distribution Has Been Submitted — no refund

Once a release has been submitted to our media network, placements begin publishing and cannot be recalled. Orders at this stage are not refundable, except as set out in sections 5 and 6 below.

5. Undelivered or Failed Placements

If we fail to deliver the number of placements guaranteed in your selected plan, you may choose either a re-run of the release at no additional cost, or a refund of the proportional value of the placements that were not delivered.

6. Orders We Cannot Fulfil

We may decline or cancel an order that breaches our Editorial Guidelines or that we are unable to place. Where we cancel for these reasons before distribution, you receive a full refund; where we cancel after partial distribution, you receive a refund for the undelivered portion.

7. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

  • Email jason@cnnewswire.com from the address registered on your account, or submit a request from your order page.
  • Include your order number and the reason for your request.
  • We acknowledge every request within 2 business days and issue a decision within 5 business days.

8. Refund Method and Timing

Refunds are issued to the original payment method. Card and PayPal refunds are normally completed within 5–10 business days of approval, depending on your bank or card issuer.

9. Non-Refundable Items

  • Placements that have already been published.
  • Editorial, translation or optimisation work that has already been completed.
  • Third-party media fees or expedited-placement fees already paid on your behalf.
  • Orders cancelled because the submitted content breaches our Editorial Guidelines or applicable law.

10. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you believe a payment is incorrect, please contact us before raising a dispute — most issues are resolved within a few business days. We retain a published-link record for every distributed release, which serves as the delivery record for your order.
